Letter from the Editors
We hope you are enjoying your Spring as much as we are. The amount of high quality stories we receive from new and seasoned authors continues to amaze us. It also makes deciding on the final stories for an issue a tough job, but we think you'll be happy with what we've ended up with.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if all of us could suddenly fly? So has K.C. Grifant in her short story "Mass Exodus." On the other end of the spectrum, we bring you a flash piece straight out of the grave with Jessica Kelly's flash piece, "Details." Along similar lines, we learn what might happen when a rock star can repeatedly come back from the dead. No, it is not the Grateful Dead but rather "Ageless Rock Star" by Malcom Laughton. If this Spring weather has you more in the mood for traditional fantasy, we highly recommend Jim Breyfogle's "Sowing Peace." We have a feeling this one will really grow on you. Finally, "Cruising in an Event" by George Schaade gives us a unique take on a world where time took a different turn.
Our special features include Marty Mapes' movie column on Ex Machina. We're also especially excited about our interview with Roberto Calas. As a special bonus in this issue, we bring you the first Chapter from the novel Emissary by our very own Betsy Dornbusch. We know you'll be hooked after the first chapter, and fortunately the full hardcover is available wherever fine quality books are sold.
